I’m happy to announce that the wave is finished firing and I think it looks great! There are some small things I would change if I were to make another. But, they are aesthetic values, not structural, or technical.
So, I think I’ll just leave it as is for now, and move on into the rest of the series. I actually really love it as is. It’s my favorite new favorite. 😍

In the meantime, while I work on the Sea Turtle in the background, this Ocean Wave is going into the kiln! I actually have four 12 x 12 glass pieces in work at the same time!

And so it begins…trying out color combos on the Sea Turtle. FYI, it may end up nothing like this lol. But as in life, you have to start somewhere.

On to the next art glass piece. I think it’s time for a Sea Turtle. I’m using glass paint to draw the Turtle onto a piece of clear glass. It will get fired in the kiln. Afterwards I will add colored pieces of glass, a little at a time to make the turtle, on top of the painting.
