Order before they fly away into the night. Dramatic, yes. Also true.

Halloween is less than two weeks away, and the Halloween Collection has a hard stop: midnight on the 31st. After that, these flavours vanish into the night like a ghost who heard someone say “we should do a group photo.”

So if you’ve been eyeing one, now’s the time. You don’t want to be the person in November saying “I really meant to order that” to a very empty mug.

Brew one while you sort the candy into “for the kids” and “for me, quality control.” Nobody’s checking.

Midnight, October 31. After that, they’re gone.

Swap the water in a traditional espresso Americano for crisp apple c***r and you’re suddenly in the middle of the orchard.

Then a layer of chai spice cold foam goes on top, because why stop at one good idea.

Say its name three times and a pecan, coconut and chocolate coffee appears in your kitchen.

(Okay, you still have to brew it. We’re not running miracles here.)

Betelgeuse is a medium roast with pecan, coconut and chocolate flavour. It’s sweet and toasty with zero sugar added, and black is how it was built to be drunk. Halloween candy bowl optional but encouraged.

Red velvet cake, minus the oven, the cream cheese frosting and the “I’ll just have a small slice” negotiation.

Red Velvet Hot Cocoa is cocoa, vanilla and a hint of almond, and it tastes like the cake instead of a candle that once saw a picture of the cake.

One instruction matters: make it with milk.

Water works if you want a quick, lighter cup. But milk is where this one earns its place. It turns into the rich, creamy mug you were picturing when you read “red velvet.”

3-4 tablespoons of mix, hot milk, whisk until smooth. A whisk, or a spoon with ambition.

(No coffee in this one, so it’s a perfectly good after-dinner mug.)

Salt water taffy: delicious, and also the reason there’s a wrapper stuck to your sleeve.

So we freeze-dried it. Same flavour, but the texture turns light and crisp, and it practically dissolves the second it hits your tongue. No wrapper wrestling, no pieces welded together, no taffy lodged in a molar until Thursday.

Two new bags, two very different approaches:

Butterscotch. One flavour, done properly. Buttery, caramel-sweet, classic boardwalk.

Harvest Mix. Six fall flavours in one bag: Cran-Raspberry, Candy Corn, Blackberry Crumble, Pumpkin Pie, Maple and Caramel Apple. (Yes, there’s candy corn in there. No, you don’t have to eat it. You’re in charge of that debate.)

Both are small enough for the glovebox, the desk drawer or the Halloween bowl.

One flavour you’re sure of, or six you’re not? Pick a side.

The candy you buy for trick-or-treaters is not the candy you want.

This one’s for the house. A jack-o’-lantern bag with 3 oz of popcorn, dark milk chocolate drizzled over the top, and a bow already tied. Give one to each of your kids, or keep one for yourself and put it somewhere the kids won’t check. (No judgment.)

It’s virtually hulless, so no husks in your teeth. It’s your own small Halloween treat, with no fun-size bar math involved.

Hot Cocoa Dreams.
Butter toasted golden, creamy milk, Chocolate Truffle Cocoa and luxurious dark chocolate. One saucepan, two cups, (a cup for now and 5 minutes from now).
Make sure to save a spot in your Hot Chocolate for some Espresso Marshmallows. Not required but perfectly delightful!

There's a certain kind of Tuesday that needs a hot chocolate. (Most of them, honestly.)

This one starts with butter toasted golden in a saucepan, which sounds fussy and takes a few minutes. Then milk, Chocolate Truffle Cocoa, a handful of chopped dark chocolate, and a couple of Espresso Marshmallows on top. It makes two cups: one for now and one for 5 minutes from now.

Spices don’t have to be just for pumpkins. Add a little chai spice to maple and you get a latte that tastes like a slow, sweet breakfast.

It’s a good-looking one, too. And it works in any month, not just the cozy ones.
