May Meetup : Introduction to Drupal 8 Development with Drupal Console

Learn how to get started creating custom modules quickly using Drupal Console, a command line boilerplate code generator.

In this session we'll build a custom "Meetup Field" type that accepts a meetup.com group name when editing content, and when the content is viewed, lists the meetup's upcoming events!

You'll see it built and get the code!

Time to get this 2016 Drupal party started!

For February we'll be featuring a couple of special guests who will be discussing the design, development, marketing and challenges of bringing a recent, complex Drupal web application to market.

Our guests are Mary Dauteuil and Scott Jenkins, discussing the PaperWork Lockbox project, a Drupal website that enables secure storage and retrieval of important documents. As one of the founders, Mary has quite the story to tell on her journey. Scott worked on the Drupal development of the project.

We will also feature an open discussion on Drupal in 2016. So bring your questions, issues, projects, and whatever else to this first meeting of the new year.

Just scheduled the all DFW Drupal Holiday Party - Monday, Dec 14, 7pm at the Richardson Free Play Arcade. Drupal, retro video and pinball games, craft beer and good food - what more do you want already ??

Well, we haven't been able to get any speakers for Fall meetups, but that doesn't mean we can't have a social Holiday party! The Free Play Arcade opens in a couple weeks and features 6
