FEATURED ARTIST: Mama’s Broke

Sunday November 22nd at Poor David’s

Ticket link in bio

Canadian folk duo Mama’s Broke (Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria) built their sound busking across Eastern Canada, Appalachia, Ireland and beyond. They traded songs and close harmonies with traveling musicians long before winning a Canadian Folk Music Award and earning a JUNO nod.

Their newest LP Reunion, out now on Free Dirt Records, holds up a mirror to a world coming apart and asks what lasts when we tend to it.

Want to learn more about them? Join Poor David’s newsletter & get today’s Featured Artist blast, hitting your inbox today at 3p. Sign up at the link in our bio.

HOWDY Y’ALL!

I’m getting ready to head out to West Texas this week for the Crooked Crow Songwriting Retreat hosted by Johann Wagner J Wagner

Poor David’s has always been a Mecca for songwriters. That’s because it’s in our blood. Scroll to hear one of David’s most recent songs…

I’m excited to bask in the healing waters of SONGWRITING and Chinati Hot Springs. But I’m anxious to be away from all the operations at Poor David’s.

Luckily, I have the most wonderful, handsome & fabulous husband Cory Squires Cory Squires who is going to manage the place while I’m gone.

We also have the best staff & I trust that Carlos, Stefani & Christy will take great care of our musical acts & patrons.

Come show them all your support at one of our upcoming shows this week!
