AIA Northeast Texas

AIA Northeast Texas AIA Northeast Texas is a chapter of the American Institute of Architects and represents about 80 architects and interns scattered throughout the region.

The efforts and events of the AIA Northeast Texas section focus on advocating for and educating our architectural community through an engaging dialogue of events that challenge and advance the conventional nature of thinking and practice. This page was created by chapter member, Alan Roberts, AIA of Alan R Consulting in 2012 to provide an on-line presence for the chapter since its website became

defunct. In June 2020, Alan transferred the page to AIA Dallas and Dallas staff will continue and manage the page. Alan will serve as an editor and continue to provide content.

Hello all, a message here from me, Alan Roberts, long time AIA NE Texas member and AIA Emeritus.

I was wondering if any of you perhaps might know of someone in the McKinney area who may be interested in offering an Interior Design summer internship to an eager ID student? She is about to complete her first year at the University of Oklahoma, is the daughter of good friends of mine from college, and they live up in McKinney.

If any of you know of a colleague up there who may be willing to interview an eager intern, please reach out to me and I will pass on the information to her.

Thank you.

Here's a photo I enjoy that I took in Berlin that I'm sure many of you will recognize.
