It feels like my heart is shattered into a million pieces today, I keep waiting for my dad to show up with Christmas presents for me and Gracelyn, wrapped in either food liners or tinfoil because he ran out of time to get wrapping paper. I keep waiting for him to call and tell me he’s done making deviled eggs and will be over soon. I didn’t know it was possible to feel so much pain but keep on living.

Merry Christmas Everybody! We miss you all so much and hope all our customers/supporters have the best holiday 🎅🏼

💙 While December is one of the most beautiful month’s of the year; it’s also Seasonal Depression Awareness Month 💙

As the days grow shorter and the temperatures drop, many people experience a heavier emotional load. Seasonal depression, often called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), can bring feelings of sadness, isolation, fatigue, and hopelessness — and for many, these struggles happen quietly.

At our visitation company, we work closely with families every day and understand how important mental wellness is, especially during the winter months. This season can be especially difficult for parents, children, and families navigating stress, separation, or major life changes.

This December, we encourage everyone to:
✨ Check in on friends, family, and coworkers
✨ Offer patience and kindness
✨ Listen without judgment
✨ Be a safe space for someone who may need support

You never know what someone is carrying beneath the surface. A simple message, call, or act of kindness can make a world of difference.

If you’re struggling, you are not alone. Help is always available — and reaching out is a sign of strength. 💙

I think they say the first holiday is the worst, and I hope that’s true because I don’t want to feel this bad again. I miss you will all my heart.
This is the first Thanksgiving that I get to spend with my family…the first Thanksgiving since Gracelyn has been born that I didn’t have to work our Thanksgiving Brunch. I’m having a good day…but oh what I wouldn’t do to be with you arguing right now about stocking the buffet and you messing up my seating chart (that took hours to make 🙄).
Trying to just be thankful for what I do have and the fact that you’re finally at peace. Miss you so much daddy 🤎🤎

I made a post last night when I was just in my feelings. I listened to people from another bar telling me something one of the employees from “The Nest” said. And while I don’t agree with this employee and really have a lot of things I could say, I won’t. Because it’s not this new business’ fault.
The Nest took in all of my employees when I closed and Chad was great to me when my dad died. He tried to help and more importantly tried to make me believe in myself when I didn’t. So regardless of how I feel about some of his staff, I will support him. And I apologize for the post I made. My dad would expect better from me, he always supported everybody because we are all in the same game 🩷

Today I locked the door for the last time. After 7 days straight of cleaning, painting, and moving; we can finally walk away. I can close the hardest chapter of my life I’ve had yet.
I don’t think anybody can understand what it felt like to be forced to stay somewhere and go there everyday, to spend my life in a place my dad took his. It was unbearable. As much as I will miss the customers, the ambiance of the place, and all the memories I’ve made there, I am so so happy to be done. I wish I would have given my dad more credit or tried to understand what he was going through…because the constant stress can really make a person want to hurt themselves.
I’ve had bar in my life since I was 9 years old, starting with my mom’s and then following my dad wherever his dreams took him. The same for Gracelyn, she has been helping my dad and following him around her entire life. It’s going to be a shock to our system but i think we have reveled in the chaos long enough. It’s time to breathe now.

I do want to say thank you to the amazing customers that came back again and again and never lost faith in us-even on our worst days. My family that helped again and again and unfortunately got drug into a mess that had nothing to do with them. My true friends that helped and expected nothing in return. My amazing daughter who lost so much time with me but always understood and never got mad. And my boyfriend who has stuck with me through every high and low (although there have been way more lows this year).
I most likely wont be posting on here anymore-so THANK YOU, to all of you who lifted me on my hardest days 🩷 I’ll be forever grateful.

I think tonight I reached a point…I’m so tired of the people I love the most, complaining about who I am, judging everything…if you haven’t felt the pain of the one person you loved the most-leaving you on purpose, then you don’t have any idea what it feels like to be me.
