Hi all,

This Friday we are having the 2nd tasting of the season for the Winestopper's Wine Club. The theme is 'Bubbles and Bites' with sparkling, chilled wines from various regions in the world. All of these wines pair well with various foods...emphasis on variety and light for the summer season. It starts at 6 pm and will benefit the Friends of the Dadeville Library. Please plan to come and have fun with us! There will be plenty of fans and fun!!

Membership for the year, all donated to Chuck's Chosen Charities, is $35 for a couple, $25 for a single for all the tastings. Guests are asked to donate $10 to attend a tasting. Come help the charities and have fun!

The last two tastings we have had lots of rain! With the current tropical storm coming in to Texas and Louisiana we have a tremendous chance of rain ruining our last tasting!

With that in mind we are changing the date of our last regular Wine Tasting at Chuck's Marina benefitting Ferst Readers of Tallapoosa County! The original date of Friday, 9/17 is being CHANGED TO SEPTEMBER 24 FROM 6 TO 8 PM. THIS IS THE OLD WORLD - NEW WORLD TASTING AND IT WILL BE HELD ON THE MAIN DECK OF CHUCK'S.

For all our Wine Club Members you may bring a guest ($10 charge) for the tasting - just email me so we are sure to enough wine and 'bites' for the evening.

Jim is going to be helping out in Winestoppers for the next few weeks on Friday & Saturday evenings from 6 until....

So everybody come out and keep him company...and enjoy some great wine or craft beer!!!

AND don't forget the Wine Tasting next Friday from 6 to 8 pm...the recipients are Friends of the Dadeville Library...this tasting that has been done for the last few years as WINE and WORDS! There will be books for sale as well as a dedication of Chuck's new book exchange!

He everybody! The die has been cast for the August 20 Wine Tasting! South America...and all I can think about for the bites is the opportunity to do some empanadas, chimichurri....come and give it a try!

The Wine Tasting for June will benefit the Alabama Sheriff's Girls Ranch right here in Tallapoosa County! Chuck's says this is Girl's Ranch Month since the Annual Duck Race duck tickets will go on sale on June 20th!
I had the opportunity to help host a 'High Tea' for the graduating seniors two weeks ago. These are great kids and the 'House Parents' are an amazing group of people who love these girls as if they were their own. Inspiring!
Try not to miss the tasting on the 18th...France is the subject!!

Happy Memorial Day to all of you and thank you to all of you who have served or are serving our great country!

Our second wine tasting of the season is on June 18 from 6 to 8 on the store dock at Chuck's Marina.

Sommelier, CSW, Josh Nagel of Alabama Crown will lead us on an exploration of some of the fine wines of France. Josh has earned the designation of not just Sommelier but has completed the Certified Specialist of Wine Exam. This rigorous wine exam is a test that examines a candidate's wine knowledge and mastery of the key elements within the worlds of viticulture and wine production.

Small bites will be paired with the 6 wines (3 reds and 3 whites) that have been chosen for this tasting. You will have the opportunity to purchase any of these wines that you particularly enjoy.

Wine club annual membership is $25 for a single and $35 for a couple. All dues are donated to Chuck's Chosen Charities. The monthly tastings are included in your membership.

Winestoppers’ Wine and Craft Beer Club’s Monthly Tastings Post-pandemic Restart and Winestoppers Reopening!

We are happy to announce the reopening of Winestoppers’ Wine and Craft Beer Bar after the long wait to survive the pandemic of 2020! The official reopening is scheduled for Friday, May 14 at 6 pm in conjunction with the 1st Winestoppers’ Wine and Craft Beer Club Tasting of 2021!

The May tasting will begin at 6 pm and end at 8 pm. Come to the Chuck’s Marina Store Dock. Yearly memberships are $25 per single member and $35 per couple. All membership money and any additional donations will be given to one of Chuck’s Chosen Charities. The monthly wine tastings are included in your membership.

Our May 14 tasting will focus on two of Italy’s most famous wines Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese with a twist…let’s explore regional tastes and production. Danny Fink, Sommelier, from International Wine and Craft Beers will conduct the tasting. Members will be asked to score the wines and their reasons for the scores they give them. This information will be used to select wines for future tastings.

The complete tasting schedule for 2021 includes these dates: Friday, May 14th; Friday, June 18th; Friday, July 16th; Friday, August 20th; and our finale on Friday, September 17th. All tastings will run from 6 pm to 8 pm and will feature foods paired with the wines selected for each tasting.

Winestoppers’ Wine Bar at Chuck’s is open to anyone who enjoys wine and wants to have a wider choice than we offer at our regular bar.
