WOMEN'S PINK RIBBON BINGO!!! - October 10, 2026!

🎀Grab your girlfriends and join us for a special Women’s Pink Ribbon Bingo, to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month - proudly put on by Currie American Legion Post 322 and Currie Town & Country! 💕

We’re teaming up for a full day of bingo, brunch, drinks, prizes and fun while supporting a wonderful local cause. 50% of Currie American Legion Post 322’s net profits from the event will be donated to Hospice of Murray County

9:00 AM - Registration & Brunch Buffet
11:00 AM - Pink Ribbon Bingo Begins
Immediately Following Bingo - VR Horse Races, open to the public!

💗 Prepaying online for our Brunch and Bloody Mary/Mimosa Bar is highly encouraged! Purchasing your drink and food add-ons today helps our volunteers get an accurate headcount so we can stock up on plenty of fresh ingredients and supplies for everyone. Thank you for helping us plan a smooth event!

⚠️ Ticket & Add-On Refund Policy (Please Read)Please note that all ticket sales, including online prepaid Brunch and Bottomless Drink add-ons, are final and strictly non-refundable. Because this is a charity event supporting the Hospice House of Murray County, our volunteers must purchase all food, drinks, and event inventory in advance based on your exact headcount. For this reason, we cannot issue refunds for cancellations or no-shows.

🇺🇸 Honoring Vice Commander Chris Lamfers 🇺🇸

Friday night was a very special evening at the Currie American Legion Post 322 as our Vice Commander, Chris Lamfers, was presented with a Quilt of Valor in recognition of his service to our country. ❤️🤍💙

A Quilt of Valor is more than a quilt. It is a handmade expression of gratitude, awarded to service members and veterans who have been touched by war. Each quilt is meant to offer comfort, healing, and a tangible reminder that their service and sacrifice are remembered and appreciated.

Making the evening even more special, Chris’ daughter, Skyla, surprised him by traveling from Kentucky to be there for the presentation and share in this well-deserved honor with him. ❤️

During the presentation, Denny shared messages from Chris’ Navy brother and longtime friend, Gary Reyna, or as Chris knows him, “Brother Bee.” Gary reflected on their time serving together in the Navy and the kind of man Chris was when it mattered most.

One line especially stood out:

“You want Chris to be by your side through battle.”

While most of us will never understand what it means to serve beside someone in battle, those words describe the Chris we are fortunate enough to know here at the Legion, too.

Chris has served our Post as Commander and now as Vice Commander, and through it all, one thing has remained constant: when things get tough, Chris is someone you want by your side. He shows up, he supports the people around him, and he is always willing to step in when he’s needed.

Chris, thank you for your service to our country, your continued service to the American Legion, and for being someone others know they can count on.

Congratulations on this incredibly well-deserved honor. We are very proud to call you one of our own. 🇺🇸

EDIT: Chris wanted to clarify one of the awards mentioned during Friday evening’s presentation. Chris did not receive the Bronze Star Medal. The star referenced was actually a gold star worn on one of his Navy medals, indicating that the same medal had been awarded to him more than once. He wanted to make sure his service record and recognition were represented accurately. 🇺🇸
