🍕 On September, 11, we celebrated 19 years in Crown Point. 19 YEARS. What a wild ride.
Nineteen years ago, we opened the doors to Gelsosomo’s with a whole lot of hope, a whole lot of nervous energy, and absolutely no idea where this journey would take us.
And man… what a ride it has been. Not in my wildest dreams could I ever imagine how blessed we truly are.
There have been incredible years. There have been really hard years. We’ve celebrated milestones, made mistakes, learned lessons, weathered recessions, a pandemic, rising costs, staffing shortages—and probably a few thousand Friday-night dinner rushes that nearly killed us. 😂
Through all of it, one thing has remained constant:
You kept showing up.
Families have celebrated birthdays here. Kids who used to come in with their parents now bring in kids of their own. We’ve watched employees grow up, get married, start families and move on to careers of their own. We’ve made friendships that never would have existed without this little pizza joint.
Somewhere along the way, this became a whole lot more than a restaurant to us.
It became part of our family’s story, and it became a vehicle to do good in our communities. I am fiercely loyal to those ideas.
I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has worked alongside us, every customer who has supported us, and this community that has allowed us to do what we love for 19 years.
We’re a little older. Hopefully a little wiser. Definitely a little grayer. 😂
But we’re still here.
Still making pizza. Still fighting. Still connecting with people. Still dreaming about what comes next.
