Well our Annual 8 Ball MVP Singles is complete. Thanks for everyone coming out to compete for some cash and spots at the Spring Singles Regional event for a chance at advancing to the Pool Players Championship

Thumb Area APA will be starting up our Fall 2026 session the week of July 19th-23rd

If your team took Summer off and wish to return, please reach out so we can get things ready.

We have many areas looking for teams and we have a few teams looking for players. So if you've been thinking of joining, or just looking for a fun night out? Let us know.

The THUMB AREA APA just posed info for this year's APA Michigan Challenge. It will be held in August this year on the 26th-30th. Below you can see the events

Excited to announce that on Monday, July 6th, at 12pm, we will be starting sign-ups for the 2026 APA Michigan Challenge.
We have a list of changes for this event.
#1 = For the first time, we will be in the indoor event center this year.
#2 = We also have a date change to the last weekend of August. Just like every other APA tournament, you must be on an active roster in order to sign up for this event.
#3 = Team event is expanding to 128 teams
#4 = Jack and Jill Doubles are expanding to 64 teams
#5 = Singles will be starting on Wednesday night, August 26th, at 7pm

This is going to be our biggest and best APA Michigan Challenge yet. You don't want to miss it. We will be keeping you updated on this event. You can also follow THUMB AREA APA's page for updates.

Excited to announce that on Monday July 6th at 12pm we will be starting sign ups for the 2026 APA Michigan Challenge.

#4 = Jack and Jill Doubles are expanding to 64 teams, capped at 10 combined skill points
#5 = Singles will be starting on Wednesday night August 26th at 7pm

We have our Thumb Area APA 9 Ball Team Champs!!!

Congrats to "S***k The Bank" from Side Pocket Billiards in Lapeer
"Ephoph" from Tailgators Sports Bar Port Huron
"Flex-Outfield" from Kingswood Outfield in Kingston for winning The Annual Thumb Area APA World 9 Ball Qualifier!!!

These three teams will be advancing to compete in Las Vegas in August for the APA World Pool Championships!!!!

Congrats to our Runners Up:
"Road Runners" from Miller's Place In Capac, (Not pictured)
"Pure Bred Pool Sharks" from The Wrigley Center/Colony Bar in Port Huron and
"Shedds Basement" from Side Pocket Billiards in Lapeer.

These three teams advance to The Great Lakes Invitational in October 2026 held at the Statewide Sports dome in Houghton Lake.
