This holiday weekend means all sorts of things are starting to happen up in Cripple Creek & Victor. This Friday, the 22nd, KJ Jim with Cosmic Entertainment will be here at the hotel from 6 to 10 PM. Saturday, the 23rd, the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad will be opening for the season. Sunday, the 24th, Kid Blackie Boxing Club is having their summer kickoff barbecue and fundraiser at Cripple Creek Parks & Rec at 2 o’clock. Then Monday, the 25th, will be the fabulous donkey release celebration at 1 o’clock, hosted by the Two Mile High Club. So if you’re thinking of coming up this holiday weekend, you better make sure you’ve booked a room! We are very excited… come visit and have some fun.

This is a professional race, most racers have a donkey, but you can also rent a donkey. All information is in the link.

Join us on Sunday, June 28th at HIGH NOON as racers and their four-legged teammates thunder through Cripple Creek in the first professional Pack B***o Race here since 2007!

This year marks the Inaugural Donkey Derby Days Professional Pack B***o Race, bringing back one of Colorado’s wildest and most beloved traditions. Expect fast feet, flying hooves, mountain-town mayhem, and a whole lot of b***o-powered excitement.

🫏 WHAT IS PACK B***O RACING?
Born from Colorado’s mining heritage, pack b***o racing traces back to prospectors leading their b***os through the Rockies in search of gold. Legend says two miners struck gold in the same spot and raced back to town to stake their claims… and just like that, a sport was born.

Today, these races celebrate the grit, history, and stubborn determination of Colorado’s mining days. In fact, Pack B***o Racing was officially named Colorado’s Summer Heritage Sport in 2012!

Hey everybody, we regret that we need to take a short hiatus from Thursdays Open Mic and Friday Karaoke that we normally have scheduled every week. We have had a couple projects that we’ve been wanting to work on in the parlor and thought that we could kind of squeeze them in around that schedule and it just hasn’t been working out. We will have KJ Jim with Cosmic Entertainment Friday the 22 May from 6 to 10 PM and after that week we will see if we’re ready to get back on our regular schedule.

Hey everybody, the tavern is open and serving… come on out, enjoy our Thirsty Thursday deal (everything in the washtub is $3) and open mic night. Now as long as the weather stays how it is at the time of this posting, which is just some occasional flurries and a little bit of rain, a little bit of fog, we plan on being open all night, but as the evening progresses, and if it starts storming we may close early (or if we lose power).
