Here's an update on our Wildfire Fundraiser the Blue Valley VFW Post 4959 sponsored last month. The money was sent to the Alliance VFW whereas they added some money to our donation of $5235 and donated the proceeds to the following TEN fire departments...

Sat 30 May: Prime Rib. With choice of potato, fancy salad, garlic bread optional mushrooms and dessert for only $40.

Members of the Blue Valley VFW Post 4959 erected the avenue of flags at Riverside Cemetery this morning. Each flag is a donated casket flag from a local deceased veteran. If you would like to donate a flag, please drop in and inquire!

Join us tonight for Steak Night and bring your family and friends for a meal and dessert. Selection of Peanut Butter, Cookie Dough, and Pineapple Upside down cupcakes, along with New England Chocolate Whoopie Pies, a specialty of our baker from Maine.

Thurs 14 May: Schnitzel. Hand breaded and seasoned pork Schnitzel with mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, and dessert for $12.

Fri 15 May: Fish or Shrimp. Cod dinner, shrimp dinner, or hand breaded or Baked Po***ck with choice of potato, garlic bread, and dessert for $12.

Sat 16 May: Steak Night. 8oz Sirloin cooked to order with 2 shrimp, fancy salad, baked potato, garlic bread, optional mushrooms and caramelized onions, and a ridiculously nice dessert...all for $20.

-NOT everything we do is fried

We wanted to extend a special thank you to all the people that showed up for the wildfire fundraiser last night. Over 330 people showed up with $4500 in donations! The money will be deposited and transferred this week to the Alliance VFW Post 1517 where they will add money and distribute funds to the smaller fire departments affected by the Morrill fires.

Also a special thanks to our loyal volunteers; Kim, Nancy, Scott, Dave, Albert, Jeremy, Bernice, Phil, Roberta, Marge, Noyle, Sharon, Ron, Ty, and Dave.
