Serving unique beer recipes of only the finest ingredients brewed in local craft breweries from all over the country. Do what you want and don’t let anyone stand in your way. That was Evil Horse – the name of our undersized appaloosa mare with an oversized desire to never be ridden. Owned by our Brewmaster; she refused to be conquered, and riding her became a challenge that many attempted and few

succeeded. For those that got bucked off, we’d drink a beer in your honor – one that we took pride in crafting ourselves. As Evil Horse’s legend grew, so did our desire to create our own craft beer. We took inspiration from that obstinate appaloosa’s attitude – and opened Evil Horse Brewing Company, brewing the best beer possible, letting nothing stand in our way. Sadly, post COVID, our brewery division could not recover from the rising costs of materials, and the number of great breweries in our area saturated the market - so people in charge made the decision to stop the bleeding and the brewing process at our facility. The legend and attitude of Evil Horse is still prevalent in our taproom, as we honor the memory of our fantastic brews, and bring you some of the best microbrewery flavors that you won't find in the wild. Always in support of the small brewery industry and their hard-working Brewmasters, we strive to make sure we have a flavor for everyone. From our 14 taps to our 30 available cans and bottles, we have also added wine and spirits to our daily menu to provide a delicious beverage for everyone who visits. Proud to stand tall and give our guests the best experience of old Crete, our 114-year-old building is full of nostalgia and vintage charm. Our newly created "backyard" space, where the Crete Bowling Lanes, and our brewing division once lived, we now host private events and backyard games and tournaments. We also have pinball games, darts, sports on the TVs and music on the juke box. Evil Horse has remained unbridled and unconquered to this day, as has our passion to bring you an exceptional craft brewery experience that you can enjoy with family and friends. We are children and pet friendly! Our delicious beer recipes are safe with us, in the hopes that someday, they may be brought back to grace our taps again and we can honor and show respect to the brew team that created the beers that we all grew to love.

Please join us in welcoming Tiki's Ribs & Tips Smokehouse to our Evil Horse family. The owner, Robyn, is a Crete resident, looking forward to opening her brick & mortar restaurant very soon in the old Windmill Brewing Co space in Dyer. We are super happy to team up with her to bring our guests great food, great beverages, fun times and new friendships.

Today is beer tapping day! This week's beer of the week comes to us from Akron, Ohio and the brewers at Hoppin' Frog Brewing Co. A frog...in sunglasses...tell me more! Seemed appropriate last week (not sure where the sun went today)...we bring you their Original Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale. Following German tradition, this shandy is a refreshing combination of lemon and light malt flavors. Unlike traditional shandy’s, this fruit and field style brew brings the citrus flavor, with low IBUs and an ABV of 7%. Bring your shades, just in case the sun comes out - this is a great summer patio sipper. Available for $5 a pint all week...unless it doesn't last that long!
