Dear Crested Butte and Gunnison friend’s of Ron Earl ❤️ First off, you all are in my heart. Although this heart is feeling very heavy and broken into pieces, you are in there. It has not been an easy couple of days. That being said, I know the need to get together and celebrate his life formally is real, but we must stay patient and await instruction from Ron’s family. A memorial was planned by friends of Ron in Gunnison already, but they are being asked to postpone the event at the Family’s request. We apologize for any headache this has caused. The family has been in communication and working with some of his closest friends in Gunnison to figure out a date to do ONE BIG CELEBRATION supported by community and local bussinesss who loved him up and down the valley. So please rest assured there are plans being made. There will be a social media post and newspaper article out soon. Along with the obituary that was just worked on yesterday. Please keep in mind, His family is planning a service in Dallas too. I can’t imagine how hard this has been on them. The best way for us to honor Ron right now is to support and respect his Family’s wishes and please hold off on any official planning. I’m in contact with the friends in contact with Ron’s family. If you have questions and or want to contribute, please reach out to me as I’ve been asked to be this middleman.
