Ending the year the same way we started it — side by side, behind the bar, doing what we love. 🫶🏻
Our second year was all about organic, measurable growth… and learning how to navigate the realities of small business ownership in a tiny, seasonal mountain town. It’s not always easy, but there’s nowhere else we’d choose to take on this wild, rewarding endeavor. Crested Butte is home, and this community is the reason we keep showing up.
Our goals for 2025 were to build our distribution in the Front Range while increasing awareness for Anthracite Spirits & Tasting Lounge within our valley. Over the last year, Tim and I logged a LOT of miles hustling down from the mountains on monthly ventures to share our bottles with the best cocktails bars and liquor stores Colorado has to offer (we see and thank you ). As we write this, we’re proud of — if a bit exhausted from!— the steps we’ve taken and relationships formed over the last 12 months.
Back home, we enjoyed an increase in nights of live music in the Lounge, attended a summer of local Farmers Markets to share bottles and our now infamous Take-N-Shake bottled cocktails with an expanded share of our valley and got to make cocktails alfresco every Monday all summer at Alpenglow.
Though numbers won’t do this year justice, here’s little numerical retrospective for 2025:

Thank you for every visit, every bottle brought home, every cocktail shared, and every conversation across the bar. We’re endlessly grateful to be building something meaningful here — slowly, intentionally, and together.
