✨💎 A LITTLE REINTRODUCTION…
💎✨
With so many new friends and followers here, I thought it was time to reintroduce myself and share a little of my story.
So many of you don’t know that the Jewelry Industry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
My career began at a very young age in Florida, working alongside my mother in her estate jewelry business, where I fell in love with beautiful jewelry, incredible gemstones, timeless pieces, and the stories they carry.
What started as a passion quickly became a lifelong calling.
A summer course with Sotheby’s
at the University of Maine opened my eyes even further to the world of fine jewelry, period pieces, design, and antiquities—and ultimately led to a lifelong commitment to creating and finding the most beautiful jewelry. 💎✨
I went on to become a
Graduate Gemologist through
the world renowned
Gemological Institute of America,
and in 1989, while attending GIA
in Santa Monica, California,
I met my husband, Scott Johnson❤️
We came to the jewelry world from two different directions. My background was rooted in estate jewelry, gemstones, history, and design,
while his was in wholesale diamonds and jewelry manufacturing.
Somehow, those two paths came together perfectly—both personally and professionally.
I’m incredibly proud to be the owner
of Johnson Diamond Jewelers
with my family, continuing a career
and a love for jewelry that has truly lasted a lifetime.
But many of you may know me from a completely different world…
Whiskey Tavern Covington
Whiskey Kitchen in Slidell and
coming soon, Whiskey Saloon 🥃🍽️
My love for the restaurant and hospitality life has always been in my heart. There’s something special about creating a place where people can gather, celebrate, enjoy a beautiful meal, raise a glass, listen to music, and make memories.
In many ways, jewelry and hospitality aren’t so different. Both are about celebrating life’s moments and making people feel special. Whether it’s a diamond ring that marks the beginning of a new chapter or a dinner and cocktail shared with the people you love, I’ve always believed the experience matters. ❤️
Through all of these chapters, one of the greatest gifts has been the people I’ve met and the connections I’ve made along the way.
I’m so grateful you’re here—whether you’ve known me for decades, met me across a jewelry counter, shared a table or cocktail with us at one of our Whiskey family locations❤️
Thank you for being here, for supporting our family businesses,
and for always tagging along on all of our adventures. 💎🥃✨
There’s always something beautiful, delicious, sparkly—or a little unexpected—around the corner.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.❤️
With Love,
Mrs. Grace 🫶🏻
