I want to thank Buck and Honey's for having me this last Wednesday evening. What a wonderful place that is!!! Chris, who is one of the owner's, and Bob Stevens, who is an old friend and also is a bartender there, gave me such a warm welcome. The staff also were warm and friendly and more than willing to take that extra step to make your time there a pleasant one.
I want to thank all my family and friends for coming out to support me. Some I knew would be there, the others who came, it was a complete
surprise. My sister Sue got up and did a couple songs. One being, "Stop in the Name of Love". I sang it, she did the actions to it, (When it comes to doing the actions, Sue is all business! Very focused she is) It's also very funny. Everyone enjoyed it!! Another one who got and sang a couple was my daughter, Shawndell. She is an amazing musician with an amazing voice!! She sang the old Etta James tune, "At Last" and believe me, she sings that song better than Etta herself. She no doubt had the attention of everybody there. I'm so proud of her and all that she has accomplished in her life. You rock, my girl!!!
