Oh s**te. Look at the look in his eyes. If this is true, this man’s life is going to be fu**ed up when he gets to prison.
FORMER CARROLL TEACHER ACCUSED OF CHILD SEXUAL ASSAULT BONDS OUT AFTER $1.5 MILLION BOND CUT TO $125,000
CORPUS CHRISTI — Former Carroll High School teacher, wrestling coach and school police officer Corey W. Bellino is out of the Nueces County Jail after a judge reduced his bond from $1.5 million to $125,000.
Bellino was arrested last month after a former CCISD student accused him of sexual assault. Authorities have said the former student was underage at the time of the alleged conduct. Bellino has not been convicted, and the criminal case remains pending.
The case is now being handled by Hidalgo County Judge Bobby Flores after Nueces County Judge Inna Klein recused herself.
Crónica also reviewed Bellino’s current Texas Commission on Law Enforcement service record, which shows another significant detail: his Texas peace officer license is still listed as active.
The state record shows Bellino had a long law-enforcement career connected to schools and local agencies. His most recent service with the Corpus Christi ISD Police Department ended Aug. 4, 2026. Previous CCISD Police service stretches back years, and earlier records show service with the Ingleside Police Department and Nueces County Sheriff’s Office.
His TCOLE record lists active certifications including:
Master Peace Officer, School Based Law Enforcement Officer, Mental Health Officer and Fi****ms Instructor Proficiency.
The training history also includes courses in sexual assault and violence response, human trafficking, active-shooter response, de-escalation, defensive tactics and school-based law enforcement.
Bellino’s peace officer license being listed as active does not mean he is currently employed by CCISD or another police agency. His state service record shows his CCISD employment ended before his arrest.
The biggest new development is his release:
$1.5 million bond → $125,000 bond → out of jail.
The criminal case now continues outside the Nueces County Jail.
