Pirates, ghosts, wild red-haired women, Indians, and cigar-smoking owners are all part of the colorful history of Blackbeard’s on the Beach. The building, one of the oldest on this spit of beach, has weathered its share of storms and mayhem over the years. Meanwhile, the Rock ‘n Roll Bar has grown from a few nostalgic albums into a mini-museum of rock ‘n roll artifacts which has spilled over into the back dining room. A prized album collection (including one signed by the elusive Cat Stevens), guitars signed by Eric Clapton and The Eagles, a poignant picture depicting a rare moment from the early Beatles (snapped by Paul McCartney’s late wife Linda), and even Chubby Checker’s instructions on how to do the twist are among the many treasures. Please feel free to look around while we’re preparing your meal. While we’re proud of our storied, eclectic history and collections, we’re even prouder to serve you some of the best food in the Coastal Bend. We look forward to serving you!
