I received the following email from the Chamber of Commerce this afternoon. Unfortunately, I'll be at the dentist, but if you can.. please come out and support one of our troops coming home wounded from Afghanistan.
Please join us on Tomorrow, December 18 at 9:30 am for our Community Welcome Home for Army Sgt. Jordan Sisco, a Santiago High School graduate.
Sgt. Sisco stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) while on foot patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan this past July and lost both legs and his left thumb, and suffered serious damage to his pelvis, colon and bladder. He has been in Texas under medical care since his injury.
This 22 year old Corona soldier is coming home from war. We will be meeting at the Caremore Care Center facility parking lot on 6th Street and Main (former Hunny's) beginning at 8:45. Please have an American flag in hand if you can.
His service banner is located near Corona Regional Medical Center on Main St. so this is another great location to be.
Please forward this message to others. Let us know where you will be, how many people will be attending (approx). Actual formation will be from the 91 Freeway, Main St. south to Foothill Parkway. Please help us welcome this Corona soldier home.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Chamber office at (951) 737-3350.
