🍕 September is all about Detroit-Style Pizza at The Barley House

What makes a Detroit pizza different?

It starts with the pan. Our fresh dough goes into the pan, and the cheese goes all the way to the edges. As it bakes, that cheese melts down the sloped sides and caramelizes, creating the crispy, cheesy edges that make Detroit-style pizza so distinctive.

The dough is thick and soft in the middle, while the oil in the bottom of the pan gives it a crisp, golden crust underneath.

And unlike a traditional pizza, the sauce goes on top for the finish.

Crispy, caramelized cheese edges. Soft, doughy center. Lots of cheese. Sauce on top.
