Why cans? Aluminum is endlessly recyclable, and recycling a can uses 90% less energy than recycling a glass bottle. Every year The Knighthood of the Brewers’ Paddle (Belgian Brewers’ Guild) organizes the Belgian Beer Weekend festival in September in the memory of St Arnould, the patron saint of brewers. It is during this festival that honorary knights are 'enthroned". Members of the knighthood include brewers, maltsters, brewing professors and people who have contributed to the promotion of Belgian Beer.

👉 The first mention of the Hacker brewery was in 1417, located at the corner of Sendlinger and Hackenstrasse in Munich

👉 In 1793, Joseph Pschorr, married Maria Theresia Hacker, daughter of the brewmaster, acquiring his father-in-law’s house and brewery (Hacker Brewery) - he subsequently founded a separate brewery under his own name (Pschorr Brewery)

👉 In 1813, construction begins on the Hacker “beer fortress,” Germany’s largest storage cellar with a square footage of 43,000 and capacity for nearly 30,000 barrels

👉 In 1972, Hacker and Pschorr breweries merged to form Hacker-Pschorr

👉 The monks of the Paulaner Order served their first beer of their own in 1634, making Paulaner the youngest of the Munich breweries

👉 At first, Paulaner beer was only served publicly during festivals; otherwise it was reserved for the monks

👉 In 1944 during the second world war the Paulaner brewery was destroyed by a bombing raid and was later rebuilt in 1950
