🖤 OUR QUEEN. CATHERINE O’HARA. FOREVER. 🖤

There are legends, there are icons, and then there is Catherine O’Hara.

For decades, she made us laugh, inspired us, and gave us characters we will love for eternity.

This Halloween, we wanted to honor our queen in a BIG way. So we created a towering 16-foot-tall mural dedicated to the one and only Catherine O’Hara at Beetle House LA.

At the conclusion of our Halloween celebration, Beetle House will make a donation in Catherine’s memory to a charitable organization she held dear.

🖤 NOBODY SHOULD MISS HALLOWEEN BECAUSE OF $30. 🖤

It’s come to our attention that some of you who could really use a night out at the spookiest, happiest place around — BEETLE HOUSE LA — are having a tough time right now.

Tickets are selling FAST, and as dates begin to sell out, we realized there are people who genuinely want to be here with us but just don’t have the extra $30 right now.

We simply can’t have that. 🖤

So we’re setting aside a limited number of FREE TICKETS for select dates.

We’re keeping it simple and using the honor system.

If you genuinely need this and just don’t have the extra cash, comment:

“I WANNA GO 🖤”

Or tag someone who could really use a night out.

That’s it. 🖤

We’ll select people for available dates and DM you directly. And we’re not making you come alone — everyone selected gets TWO FREE TICKETS, so bring a friend!

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are already getting scarce, so we can’t promise a specific night. If you comment, please be able to attend Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday after 5PM on one of the dates we have available.

🎃 CALLING ALL LOS ANGELES VENDORS, MAKERS, ARTISTS & CREATURES OF THE NIGHT! 🖤

Hi friends,

This year we’re doing something VERY different, and we want to bring some of LA’s incredible artists, makers, collectors & small businesses along for the ride.

We’re creating a HALLOWEEN NIGHT MARKET — an indoor/outdoor Halloween flea-market-style experience filled with vendors, games & all kinds of strange and unusual things to discover.

We already have some amazing vendors confirmed, but WE WANT MORE!

👻 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Spooky stuff. Halloween. Horror. Goth. Oddities. Art. Vintage. Clothing. Jewelry. Collectibles. Handmade goods. Curiosities. Basically, if it belongs at the world’s coolest Halloween flea market, we want to hear from you.

🎃 THERE IS NO VENDOR FEE.

You bring your products, set up your space, make your sales & keep your money.

We want to create something where independent vendors can actually make money while building a real community around this event.

So we’re doing things differently.

🖤 THE HONOR SYSTEM

We don’t have the staff — or the desire — to stand over vendors counting transactions or checking books. We’re trusting the people participating in this community.

If you make money, we ask you to contribute either:

• 25% of your NET PROFIT after your costs & expenses are covered

OR

• 10% of your sales, if that’s easier.

IF YOU DON’T MAKE MONEY, YOU OWE US NOTHING.

If it costs you $200 to participate and you make $200, we don’t want a dime.

The goal is simple: vendors make money, the venue covers some of the cost of creating the experience, and together we build something really fu***ng cool for Halloween.

Thursday–Sunday through October + November 6 & 7.

You don’t have to vend every night. Space is limited & first come, first served.

🎃 WE DID IT, LOS ANGELES! 🎃

Thanks to all of you spreading the word, sharing our posts, tagging your friends, and refusing to let Halloween die, some wonderfully strange people at an incredible venue have stepped in to resurrect BEETLE HOUSE LOS ANGELES for one more spooky season!

Beginning Thursday, October 8 through Saturday, November 7, The Compound in Commerce will present:

🎃 BEETLE HOUSE: RETRO HALLOWEEN PARTY 🎃

This year, we’re doing things a little differently. Instead of our traditional $65 three-course prix fixe dinner, The Compound is transforming Beetle House into a fully immersive, all-night Halloween party.

🎟️ Admission: $30 in advance

Once you’re inside, the night is yours. Grab a seat or roam the party. Eat as much or as little as you want. Drink—or don’t. Explore, dance, take photos, watch the performances, play games, and lose yourself in Halloween.

Expect spooky street food & Halloween fare, bubbling and smoking cocktails, potions & brews, and a DJ spinning Halloween favorites, goth, industrial and emo all night long.

There’ll be cosplayers, entertainers, sideshow acts, games, apple bobbing, piñatas, candy grabs, trick-or-treating, and all the weird, spooky, strange and unusual things you’ve come to love about Beetle House.

👻 AND YES—IT’S A COSTUME PARTY! Costumes aren’t required, but we strongly encourage you to crawl out of your crypt dressed for the occasion.

⚠️ NO WALK-INS. A ticket is required for admission, so please purchase yours in advance.

Most importantly, thank you from the bottom of our black Halloween hearts. Because of all of you—and thanks to The Compound for giving our strange little family a home—we get to celebrate our 10th Halloween in Los Angeles together.

We were so close… turns out the venue we’ve been working with for the last month decided to tell us yesterday, after a month, that they don’t actually have the means, equipment or ability to host this event and provide adequate dedicated space. AND, because we spent so long confirming everything with them, we lost our second choice venue. So, one last try then it’s rip for beetle house in La this Halloween. WE NEED A RESTAURANT with a full kitchen and staff that has a minimum of 70 seats that wants to become beetle house for the month of October. This will be (thanks to you all) extremely busy and profitable for their business. Hit us up if you have something that fits that criteria. Thank you and wild send some positive soooky vibes our way. We are really trying to pull this off..

LOS ANGELES, YOU MADE IT HAPPEN! You shared our posts, you got the word out and a very cool dude with a very cool space decided that he wanted to bring Beetle House back to LA for the month of October! It’s truly a Halloween Miracle! We will be announcing the location and reservations very soon, but we’re just so thrilled to be spending our 10th Halloween with the hauntingly beautiful and wonderfully creepy humans of Los Angeles in our second home. We can’t wait for you all to see this historic and HAUNTED space in one of Los Angeles’s iconic and historic spaces. This space has had a lot of history and therefore a LOT of ghosts! 👻 spread the word, the freaks are back in town, the juice is loose, the day is saved, Halloween lives on!

Friday December 26 and Saturday December 27th are the last chances to see the location at 7080 Hollywood boulevard. It’s currently hosting the pop up and these are the final two days to ever come here and see this space. Our gift to you, all admissions to the pop up for the last two days will be FREE! (Admission only cocktails are not included) so come on out, spook out with us and our pals at one final time and our gift to you, free admission! 6pm-9pm both days. We’ll keep you guys posted about beetle house future as details are available. Happy hauntings friends.

As promised, the update on the future of Beetle House. We have some news, some good, and some even better. The good news is that Beetle House LA has teamed up with some great folks to become from BLACK FRIDAY UNTIL NEW YEARS EVE! This is a fully immersive over the top dark winter wonderland, complete with weekly nightmare before Christmas Raves, smoking and bubbling drinks, a goth winter garden, with snow machines, goth Santa and the elves! This space will be filled with activations everywhere. There is NOTHING like this anywhere and we are so excited that our current location is able to be home to this pop up! NOW, the better news… Beetle House LA is relocating to the Burbank area. After 9 Halloweens in Hollywood we are leaving. It’s been whacky, wild and weird, but it’s time for us to move on. We wanted to have one last Halloween in Hollywood before the move and so we did. Our LAST day of Beetle House service at this location will be next Saturday November 8th. After that we will be building our new space and getting everything ready which will take some months to do. We plan to reopen in our new location when all of that is complete.

Thank you all for 8 great years and 9 Halloweens in Hollywood and we look forward to many more in Burbank at our new home.

If you want to experience our current location for the first or last time, book NOW our last days of service in this location are, NOVEMBER 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th.

This is our LAST Halloween season in Hollywood. This is your LAST chance to come see us. After this season we will be moving to a new location outside Hollywood. We have opened up new dates (Monday’s-wedneadays) starting in a week to help get more of you a table while we are getting busier by the day. If you want to visit us in hollywood one last time, this is it! Happy Halloween friends!
