Traxx Atlanta started 22 years ago by 3 guys who wanted to give the African American LGBT community a place to hang out and mingle with one another. It has been very successful in Atlanta by being one of the longest running clubs in the city. Traxx Atlanta is known to have events that are hosted by celebrities such as; Lil Kim, Amber Rose, Fantasia, Keri Hilson, Trina, and many others. They have s
ponsored parties in various cities through out the U.S. They are also active members in there community by participating and being active in AIDS awareness, toy and can food drives, and a organization entitled CHRIS children. Since November 6, 2010 Traxx Atlanta expanded their operations to Columbus, Ohio, at Outland Club 95 Liberty St. Traxx Columbus is owned by The Mason Group of Columbus, Ohio. The Mason Group vision’s for Traxx Columbus is to be a “progressive dance club” that will become a destination spot for LGBTQ people around the country. Traxx Columbus is the only official African-American LGBTQ club in the Midwest. Traxx Columbus averaged over 300-500 people per Friday night at the Outland and nearly 1,000 persons during the Columbus Pride Celebration. The club provides its customers with a variety of genres of music, live entertainment, and a multicultural customer base. Since Traxx has made Columbus, Ohio its new home they have played an active role in the community. Some of the community events had a role in is; hosted a fundraiser for the re-election of Mayor Michael B. Coleman, a featured article in Outlook Magazine, a participant in the Columbus Pride Celebration Parade, and a donor to AIDS Resource Center of Ohio AIDS Walk. We also have partnerships with Greater Columbus Mpowerment Center, Columbus Black Gay Men’s Coalition, Columbus Urban Pride, Columbus New Leaf, and Columbus Stonewall.
