This weeks goes out to the world around us right now. To all of our customers, our employees, our city and our world - we hear you. Here’s a post from one of our own at A&R:
“It is appalling to me that the world I live in sees my skin color as a weapon. Over the last few days, I have marched, knelt, laid on the ground, chanted, and so much more to try to make a change in this crazy world we live in, in hopes that once my nephew grows older he doesn’t have to fear for his life due to a traffic violation, my dad doesn’t have to wear a suit all the time so police officers don’t see him as a threat, my sister doesn’t get followed around our white neighborhood, my sister and I don’t get followed around the store. This is not a time to be silent or neutral, we stop this together. No justice, no peace. My life matters, my families lives’ matter. George Floyd’s life mattered, Breonna Taylor’s Life mattered, Ahmaud’s life mattered, Sam DuBose’s life mattered, Trayvon Martins life mattered. When is the rest of the world going to realize our lives matter too? Black Lives Matter. ✊🏾🖤”
