Rockaway Athletic Club opened in 1982 as a small beer hall and a refuge for four guys who were kicked out of all the other places in town. Today, it is known nationally for The Rockaway Pimento Cheeseburger, Pimento Cheese Fries, and its main bar, The South Carolina Liquor Library, which hosts one of the largest selections of liquor in the southeast, as well as a robust selection of beer and wine

The menu also offers an array of fresh salads, sandwiches and appetizers. In addition a boiled Shrimp Dinner and a fried Fish Camp Dinner are also available
