Ok guys this may be a long one so stay with me as long as you want too.....
So as many know by now In early july I made a hand shake deal to replace an existing owner of tinys. Within the last 3 months if any of you have visited tinys, then no doubt you would of seen me, be that at 11am or 9pm or 1am, I took the role very seriously and I was excited to be appart of the columbia historic resturant space once again. When a staff member needed off or their kids were sick or they didnt show up, I stayed, I washed dishes, I served tables, I cooked food...everything and all inbetween like in my opinion an owner should, I reached out to local musicians, started live music, open mic nights and events like bingo and brunch, parades holidays and festivals to bring our community something fun every day of the week! This was successful, we were successful, I even started offering up who dats food on the menu!!!! Unfortunately "said" other party refused to sign the deal and kicked the can down the road for the last three months. In those three months we changed things for the good and did all the hard work to get back on track. This weekend I took off, the first weekend in 3 months ive had a day off (those who dont know I have a 19 month old baby at home too that misses me sooooo much) so I took off. On friday night while I was out of town (knowing I was out of town) my camera access got shut off. On saturday my bank accounts were shut down.....I heard let me repeat I HEARD that im no longer involved in the business and this "said third party" is taking the business back. There was no legal contract as he resfued to sign on the terms agreed upon in a hand shake deal, so I have no leg to stand on.... but no text no call nothing to me just a hostile take over now that the hard work has been done and tough decisions made....shame on me I know!!! but I worked all hours god sends every week, put my name and reputation and standards on something in good faith which has clearly bitten me in the ass.
To the friends and customers and staff who have stood by me and supported me and the who dats name I THANK YOU!!!! and unfortunately to the friends who I thought were family that did not.....I see you..... Im not naming any names because you know who you are and thank you for showing your true colors,
With all this going down I would like everyone to know that I am no longer associated with tinys, I am no longer cooking in the kitchen and who dats staples will no longer be available.
I feel like its a damn shame to even have to post this but a lesson learnt on my side.
I truly hope tinys succeeds in the fact that its a staple of our community and a very meaningful place to alot of people.
I personally am probably going to stick with my original plan and f**k off back to Europe or maybe ill start a who dats part 2 down the road....regardless watch this space for my next move.....so much love WHO DAT NATION 💛💚💜
