It’s a Laphroaig kinda night! Sadly, it’s getting harder and harder to find this delicious Laphroaig 18 year old Islay single malt scotch whisky. It has so much depth and complexity. The first sip you’re hit with a soft creamy mouthfeel, with hints of gentle peat smoke, creamy vanilla and honey. The linger has an impressive length to it, leaving you wanting more! The second sip you’re hit with toasted oak, more vanilla, soft fruits, with a bit more intense peat smoke.

The Glenlivet Single Cask Edition American Oak Barrel 17 Year Cask #79749. This single cask is one of six bottlings for The Glenlivet's Single Cask Edition series released exclusively for six markets in the US. Bottled at cask strength after 17 years and 7 months for the Florida market. The distillery describes the experience as “full of sweetness, combining a blend of aromas of traditional pear drop sweets, butterscotch and delicate creamy fudge. Fruity and rich with luscious toffee apple and ripe pear enhanced with smooth caramel and golden syrup, with a warming hint of ginger.”Certainly sounds delicious. Highland Park Loki. The 2nd release belonging to the Valhalla collection which originated in 2012. ‘Valhalla’, is equivalent to Heaven in Norse mythology. Loki is one of the most treacherous and mischievous characters in Norse. This expression is matured in both sherry and casks that were previously used to mature heavily peated whisky. Sweetness and spice, with a smoky punch. The finish is intriguing and complex. A chameleon-like whisky. Housed in this beautiful wooden case, aged for 15 years and bottled at 48.7%. Thoughts on this bottle or any from the Valhalla Collection.

Created from a combination of some of the oldest and rarest Glenmorangie whiskeys, Signet uses high roasted 'chocolate' malt barley to bring a truly unique palate. The IPA whisky from Glenfiddich is a mixed experience for me. 🤔 I usually like Glenfiddich and I love IPA’s, but somehow I kinda don’t think that the two flavors work together. The bitterness from the IPA is transferred to the whisky which doesn’t really taste well in my opinion. 😭 Have you tried it? What do you think?
