Aggieland's first distillery just won the highest honor from the world's largest and most prestigious blind tasting.

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition just awarded us their Double Gold Medal for our Single Barrel Single Malt Wh***ey!

We distilled our malt wh***ey twice in our 500-gallon pot still from a sweet mash of 100% barley grown and malted in Texas. We took a tight cut of the hearts of the final run and put it in #3-charred white oak barrels.

Owner Nathan Barkman and head distiller Kevin Jerpseth mashed, fermented and distilled it in our distillery here in College Station.

MBS Seed - Grains in Krum, Texas supplied us with their San Jacinto two-row barley, grown and malted in Texas by Texan farmers.

Jesse Lupo, owner of Mossy Ledge Spirits in Etna, Maine, built our still and fermenters out of American steel and copper.

The Barrel Mill in Avon, Minnesota handcrafted the barrels from Minnesota-harvested American white oak.

Thank you to everyone else, too many to name, who helped us along this journey. Our wh***ey is sold across Texas. Ask for it wherever fine spirits are sold. Aggie owned and operated since 2013 by Nathan and Tiffany Barkman of College Station. Here's to another thirteen years of making the world's best wh***ey.

Nathan will be back at the Spec's on University Drive tomorrow from 5 to 8 pm providing free samples of the Brazos Valley's first bourbon -- mashed, fermented, distilled, aged and bottled by Aggies in our distillery in College Station.
