🎒🍎 BACK TO SCHOOL IN THE NORTH COUNTRY! 🍎🎒

There’s something special about this time of year up here in the North Country. ❤️

The mornings are getting a little cooler, the mountains are starting to hint that fall isn’t too far away, and once again our roads are filled with school buses, backpacks and kiddos heading off for another year of learning and growing. 🚌📚🍂

From all of us at The Black Bear Tavern, here’s to every student heading into the 2026–2027 school year! Whether it’s your very first day of kindergarten, your final first day as a senior, or anywhere in between, we’re wishing you a year full of good friends, great teachers, big accomplishments and plenty of memories along the way. ❤️

And to all of us behind the wheel, please slow down and keep an extra eye out. 👀

🚸 Look twice for kids walking or biking

Around here, these aren’t just kids crossing the road. They’re our kids, our neighbors' kids, our friends' kids, they’re part of our North Country community.

🐻 WHAT A DANG WEEKEND!! 🐻

We are SO sorry to everyone we had to turn away tonight! We were completely packed, and this entire weekend was absolutely amazing!

We also apologize if what you wanted to order wasn’t available tonight. We were running out of food left and right and ended the night with only burgers available! Please remember, it wasn’t our girls’ fault when they had to break the news that we were sold out of something, they could only serve what we still had available. We truly appreciate everyone who was patient and understanding with them! 🖤

A HUGE thank you to our girls who stayed and worked well past their scheduled shifts all weekend, and to our newly hired busser who came in for dinner with her family and ended up jumping in and working! Talk about a team player!

Our back-of-house crew absolutely ROCKED it, including those who weren’t even scheduled but showed up when we needed extra help!

And, of course, thank you to our incredible locals and everyone who traveled to come see us. Your support, patience, and kindness mean more than you know!

We’re exhausted, grateful, and incredibly proud of our entire Bear crew. What a weekend!! 🐻🖤
