💙 A Message From the Bent Prop Pub Family 💙
To our incredible lake community, friends, neighbors, and the over 8000 followers who have supported us over the years — Thank you!
After a lot of thought, long conversations, and some very heavy hearts, we’ve made the extremely difficult decision to close Bent Prop Pub for good. This was not an easy choice, especially knowing how much this place has meant to Coldwater Lake and the surrounding community. But with a young family, we’ve decided this is the best step forward for us.
Looking back, it feels impossible not to mention how this all began. Opening at the start of 2020 — right into COVID — was one of the toughest challenges we’ve ever faced. Those early years tested us in every way, and the support we received from this community during that time was nothing short of incredible. You showed up, stood by us, and helped carry us through when it mattered most. We will never forget that.
We also want to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff, past and present. Watching so many young workers come in, grow, learn responsibility, build confidence, and return summer after summer was one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. We were lucky to have such a hardworking, fun, and loyal crew — they truly helped make Bent Prop what it was.
And then there are the memories — packed nights of live music, poker runs, lake days turning into late nights, wedding receptions, birthday parties, celebrations, fundraisers, and countless moments of laughter and connection. Seeing this place full of life and people supporting one another is something we’ll always be proud of and deeply grateful for.
Bent Prop Pub was never just a bar or restaurant — it was a gathering place. And that’s because of you!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey and for helping create something truly unforgettable.
This place — and these memories — will be hugely missed. We hope for the Chain of Lakes it’s not the last chapter and someone else would like to continue and take it to the next level.
