Mark your calendar: Thursday, June 4th we’re hosting a winemaker tasting with Andrew Latta’s Kind Stranger and LATTA wines here at Vine & Olive. ✨

5 Wines - $10 while learning about the wines from the winemaker himself. 🍷

Let us introduce you to Andrew Latta — Kentucky-born, Thailand-seasoned, Washington-obsessed winemaker who went from clearing dirty dishes to making some of the most critically acclaimed Syrah in the Pacific Northwest.

His path: busser → sommelier at a 5-star resort in Phuket → cellar rat in Walla Walla → winemaker alongside Charles Smith for nearly a decade (yes, that Charles Smith) → founder of his own labels in 2011.

His wines under LATTA and Kind Stranger are what happen when someone refuses to make wine that tastes like everyone else’s. Native yeast fermentation. Neutral French oak. Minimal intervention. Rhône varietals matched to the wild, geologically soils of eastern Washington. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre — grown where they belong.

The result? Wines with lifted aromatics, savory layers, silky structure, and an honesty to them that makes you slow down and actually pay attention. Andrew’s wines are the answer to “I’m bored of Cab and Chardonnay” — complex, food-friendly, and made with the kind of care that makes you want to learn the name of the vineyard it came from.

Kind Stranger isn’t just a great bottle — proceeds support Mary’s Place and the International Rescue Committee. So you’re literally drinking for good.

RSVP in the comments or shoot us an email: [email protected] and let’s taste some great If you’re looking for some patio pounders and inexpensive entertaining wines that will make you look like the hostess with the mostess - you’ll find them on the 4th available at $16/ bottle when you buy a case. You’re welcome. ☺️

Devil Wears Prada 2 is out! It’s the perfect excuse to grab your gal pals for an overdue girls night.

Of course it wouldn’t be complete without a little pre-funk at Vine & Olive or Vicino Pizza.

Do not make Miranda Priestly say, “By all means, move at a glacial pace. You know that thrills me.”
