Something different and pretty just feels like a treat! If alcohol isn't your thing, this is a great way to still treat your guests! It feels so fancy and special! 💃🍹

You may be very pleasantly surprised! Having to work with a budget has been something I have done my whole life!!! I love finding a way to work with your budget to make having a bar at your event possible.

One of my favorite adjustments is serving mixed drinks just at cocktail hour. That makes it feel super special for guests and really adds to cocktail hour. Then for the reception we can transition to just beer and wine. Still a treat but easier on the budget for sure!

After many, many events, I've learned that being a great bartender has very little to do with this business.

It's showing up when you said you would, it's answering the text, it's good customer service all the way around and it's helping you plan the bar before your event and staying calm when something inevitably doesn't go according to plan. 😂

You're not just hiring a bartender. You're hiring someone you can trust, and that's what I am the most proud of. 🍸

Something I wish every person planning an event knew is you don't have to make everything perfect!

I've worked a bunch of events, and I can tell you this: Something will go wrong. 🫣 Someone will be late.The timeline will shift. The weather might not cooperate. Someone will forget something.The cake might not look exactly like the picture.

And guess what? Your guests probably won't remember any of it!

They'll remember the people they laughed with. 😅 The music they danced to💃. The food they loved. 🍓
The drink they had in their hand when they made a great memory.🍹And hopefully...how welcomed and taken care of they felt by you and your vendors.🥰

So if you're planning an event right now and you're stressing over every little detail, take a breath. You've invited people you love to celebrate something important.

🍸 Did You Know? | Part 6 of 8

I notice A LOT and the little things matter!

Being behind the bar gives me a pretty unique view of a party, and I've learned to pay attention to the little things.

I notice when someone has been on the dance floor for an hour and probably needs some water. 💃

I notice the guest who looks a little lost and might just need someone to point them in the right direction. I notice when the line at the bar starts getting longer and it's time to adjust.💪

I notice when someone is having the BEST time of their life...and I notice when someone needs a little extra kindness. 🫶

Maybe it's the nurse in me. Maybe it's the acts-of-service thing, or maybe I've just been doing this long enough to know that sometimes the little things are the BIG things. ❤️

And those are my favorite things to notice.🥰
