Today is our Bar Manager, Carla’s, last day before she moves on to a nice 9-5 gig. She has been a stalwart of Forest City Brewery for the last few years, and a leader in Cleveland’s service industry for over 15 years. When we hired her, during the interview, she said “I get this place”. She certainly did, and through her leadership, elevated our small business in uncountable ways.
Thank you Carla for using your time and talents for the benefit of Cleveland’s entertainment industry, you will be missed and we wish you and your family the best!

It's Wet Hop Season! "Wet hop season" refers to the time of year, typically late summer to early fall, when hops are harvested and used fresh, without drying or pelletizing, to brew b**r. This process, known as "wet hopping," results in b**rs with intense, green, earthy, and floral flavors and aromas, showcasing the hops' purest and most natural essence.

Since it's that time of year, we wanted to share a little behind the scenes of our brewing process. We love partnering with the local farm Auburn Acres - a Hopyard in Auburn, Ohio out in Geauga County. They have 900 hop plants and work with craft brewers throughout NE Ohio. This year we used Comet Hops - they had a very limited supply!

Stop by and try our "Nuggz" Wet Hop IPA to taste the results of this year's harvest. Made with their Whole Cone Comet Hops in the boil and Simcoe Hops added to the Dry Hop - this b**r has wonderful tropical, fruity and pine notes.

Also - you can taste our b**r today at **rweek's Celebration of Hops at Fat Head's in Middleburg Heights! Happy Hop Season!
