Congratulations to the 2026 Cleburne Senior Golf Champions, Richard Diggs and Amy Hennis.

Diggs shot 79-76 for a two day total of 155 to claim a 1 shot win over John Reeves and was two strokes ahead of Danny Watson.

Amy Hennis had rounds of 81-81 for a 162 total to finish 19 strokes ahead of runner up Kelli Eager. Lee Ann Baker finished third in the Senior Women's Championship.

Our sanitation teams are actively clearing fallen limbs from roadways, and our parks crews are working hard to remove debris throughout the parks.

Is everyone doing okay? 👀 The storm has passed, but you’ll still see some of its impact around the city. Our team will conduct a full damage assessment in the morning once it’s safe to do so.

In the meantime, Cleburne Golf Links and Buddy Stewart Park will be closed until further notice due to fallen limbs and high water.

Due to severe weather, Cleburne Golf Links will have a delayed opening on April 29. Staff will assess course conditions in the morning to determine if it is safe to reopen for play. An update will be shared as soon as a decision is made.

Thank you to all the participants in the Texas Golf Association North Region Mid-Amateur who competed this week!

Congratulations to Adam Valickus (Fort Worth) on a great final round in heavy winds to take a 2 shot victory with scores of 70 - 68 - 66 -204, a total of 12 under par over three rounds.

Andrew Lawson (Dallas) was runner up and Low Mid-Master (over age 40), shooting 69 - 68 - 69 -206 to finish runner up. Mason Aldredge (Lindale), Gray Rodgers (Dallas) and Brock Mulder (McKinney) each finished at 7 under par, 209 for T3. Chris Pena (Rockwall) finished fourth at six under par 210 and Andrew Lindberg, (Irving) rounded out the top seven at 4 under par, 212.

Fourteen players finished the tournament at even par or better.

Congratulations to all who advanced to the Texas Mid-Amateur and those who placed in the top seven to earn shop credit.
