Suncoast Barley Mashers Guild The Suncoast Barley Mashers is a guild of avid home brewers working to perfect their craft. The guild is located in Pinellas County, Florida.

Suncoast Barley Mashers is a registered as an official "club" with the American Home Brewers Association. However, the group does not function as a club, but rather as guild. Its organization is styled on the old world guilds, in which levels are assigned to members based upon knowledge, experience and ability, with the caveat that all members help each other and no member is less important than a

nother. Education, sharing and mentorship are used to improve the brewing skills of members. The guild also strives to foster an atmosphere of camaraderie with other guilds and with professional craft breweries in the Suncoast area.

Thank you everyone who entered the SBM IPA Smackdown. There were a lot of great entries, and it was very difficult to decide who the winners were. That said, we will have the winners up on Reggie in another day. Medals will be at Vetterbrew as will as the score sheets on Tuesday. In the meantime the following winners are as followed:

Oktoberfest in October is starting now and goes until 5pm! Competition results will be streamed on VetterBrew HomeBrew Supply Store’s page at 3pm. People’s choice will be announced at 4pm! Come on through to Vetterbrew and have some German beer! $5 for a plate of German food!
