It is with heavy hearts that we announce that tomorrow will be our last night of service at Brennan’s for the foreseeable future. We had hoped to make an announcement and give everyone ample time to pay their last respects at 4401 Transit but unfortunately we are unable to pull that off.

The Covid pandemic put a giant strain on Brennan’s ability to remain open and the defeat of the Restaurant Revitalization Fund is the Senate a few weeks back was the final nail in the proverbial coffin.

We want to thank Western New York and especially the Clarence & Williamsville communities for making Brennan’s their home for the last 52 years. The Shatzel & Brennan’s family are beyond grateful for your years of love & support.

To all our past & present dedicated employees, thank you for your years of hard work & dedication to Brennan’s. Our years of success would never be possible without all of you.

While we hope to one day to be to reopen our doors in some capacity, we now invite you to one final cheers tomorrow at Brennan’s.

IT'S HERE!!! IT'S HERE!!! IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

Grab your pot o'gold and get your (sham)rocks off with us this Tuesday starting at 4pm with our Irish menu and plenty of draft beers! We're opening both Brennan's and Thin Man Transit Tap Room at 11am on Thursday, with Guinness, Harp and Local Irish on draft and a bagpiper in the main bar area from 5-7pm.

The party starts at noon on Friday, with bagpipes from 5-7, and serving the city's best fish fry all day long!

Saturday we open at noon, with bagpipes from 6:30-8:30, and because we know you can never get enough Irish in ya, we've added an extra day and will be open on Sunday at noon!

Local Irish, a 6.2% ABV stout, brewed with coffee and lactose. Reminiscent of a traditional Irish coffee, this collaboration with is the perfect way to ring in our favorite holiday ☘️🇮🇪💚

Come in to Brennan's for a 4-pack of the latest release in the tap room, Tmavy Lezàk, a Czech style dark lager, direct from the brilliant minds at Thin Man Brewing and Other Half Brewing. We've also got grilled cheese bites on our regular and late night menus, choose between bacon cheddar or ghost pepper white cheddar.... because life is just better with beer and cheese.

Our Story

Brennan’s Bowery Bar and Restaurant was established in 1888 in New York City. Brennan’s is an Irish Restaurant bringing The Old Irish Tradition to the Williamsville and Buffalo, NY area. We have classic pub food, popular local favorites, great service, and an atmosphere that can’t be matched elsewhere. We offer a large bar which is a perfect gathering spot for family and friends. Also, our sister brewery, Thin Man has a taproom located within the restaurant in the former banquet area. The Thin Man Transit Tap Room gives you a taste of the Elmwood vibe conveniently located in the suburbs.
