STATEMENT FROM CLUB 46
Regarding Pennsylvania Skill Games and Their Impact on Our Community
Club 46 is more than just a nonprofit social club. We are a gathering place for friends, families, and neighbors, and we take great pride in supporting our members and giving back to our community. The revenue generated from Pennsylvania skill games has played an important role in allowing us to provide customer and member appreciation events, holiday celebrations, children’s Christmas parties, free food during sporting events, affordable kitchen specials, and charitable donations to local organizations, including Clairton football.
Like many nonprofit establishments, Club 46 faces significant financial responsibilities, including operating expenses, taxes, required licenses, permits, and the additional costs associated with purchasing and selling alcohol. The loss of skill game revenue creates financial challenges that affect not only our club’s operations but also our ability to continue offering the activities, affordable meals, and community support that our members have come to appreciate. These contributions are not simply extras; they are part of what makes Club 46 a valued part of our community.
As the manager of Club 46, I, Rachael Long, am fully committed to doing everything within my ability to keep our club operating and moving forward. While these changes present challenges, I refuse to let them determine our future. It is time to shift our thinking, explore new opportunities, and find creative ways to generate revenue. I encourage all members to share their ideas and suggestions because now, more than ever, we need to think outside the box and work together.
Club 46 has always been about more than revenue. It is about friendship, community, and giving back. With the continued support of our members, I am determined to keep Club 46 the welcoming, affordable, and community-focused establishment we are all proud of. Our future depends on working together, and my dedication to this club and its success remains stronger than ever.
