In the summer of 1983, McMenamins opened its first pub. We had no idea then that it would unleash a whirlwind of beer, fun, music and so, so much more. 43 years later, our taps are still flowing, the Grateful Dead is still bumping and the party isn't over yet!

This Saturday, we're celebrating 43 amazing, trippy, beer-filled years with a day of specials across the land and a just-for-fun Passport stamp. Join us and raise a glass to where we've been and where we're headed next.

Two distilleries. One very Oregon approach to making spirits đŸ„ƒâœš

At McMenamins, distilling started as an experiment and turned into a full lineup of gin, whiskey, rum, brandy, and more.

Edgefield Distillery (est. 1998) began in a former potato shed on historic farmland. What started with brandy and grappa quickly led to whiskey, gin, and the first release, Hogshead. There's been no looking back since.

Cornelius Pass Roadhouse Distillery (est. 2011) lives in a restored 1850s granary barn, home to a 160-gallon French Alambic still that made its way from Cognac, France. It helped launch spirits like White Owl Whiskey and later creative releases like Devil’s Bit.

Different spaces, same spirit: historic buildings, hands-on craft, and a lot of experimentation that somehow keeps working.

Basically: very serious distilling

This Black Rabbit sangria is one of those.

Brandy, orange and lime juice, Cheshire Orange Liqueur
 topped with a float of Black Rabbit red wine. Bright, a little rich, and dangerously easy to keep sipping while you’re in the middle of a conversation.

Nothing overcomplicated. Just a really solid glass of sangria doing exactly what it should.

If you’ve ever looked at a bar shelf and thought, “I have no idea what to order, but I want something good,” you’re in the right place. đŸ„ƒ

At Sunnyside Pub, we’ve got bottles for every kind of curiosity! Like Corzo Reposado, smooth and easygoing if tequila usually feels intimidating. Jefferson’s Ocean Bourbon, aged while traveling at sea (yes, really. You can look up where your whiskey’s been). And Penelope Project X, a sherry barrel–aged bourbon that’s rich, a little special, and not something you see everywhere.
