Located at 1237 Vine St., the bar is on the first floor of the Lackman building, built by turn-of-the-century Cincinnati brewery Herman Lackman. The bar’s signage reflects the label Herman Lackman used on his beer bottles. The Lackman was one of the first bars to the Gateway Quarter neighborhood of Over the Rhine during the recent re-development. The Lackman includes a full bar and eclectic wine

selection. The diverse beer selection includes 14 beers on tap and over 30 bottled beers covering microbrews, imports and domestics. The knowledgeable bar can assist, suggest or educate customers on their selections. The 900-square-foot building has been carefully preserved of its historic beauty, retaining the original tile floor and exposed brick while incorporating modern charm and convenience. HD flat-screen televisions, three custom handmade chandeliers by local artists Ted Gantz and Bob Dyehouse, and the large plush leather bar stools are just a few of the contemporary accents.
