Driving by, you might notice the “For Sale “ sign is down for the house with new owners taking over on 09/10/2025.

The former restaurant building remains for sale from the person who purchased it from Z,

The lobster feeds were always fun for everyone.

Held on a Monday night that was a normal night for being closed.

Advanced tickets were sold and Billy / Shirley traveled to Minnesota to pick up a crate of live lobsters during the day for the evening meal.

Many long time friends gathered to help with serving and cooking and showing people how to crack open the shells.

Son in law “Jeff” was often in the kitchen cooking them and wondering where Billy had wandered off to.

Shirley was famous for the Chinese dishes and appetizers that she prepared from scratch.

Served Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

Her father was Eau Claire famous “Jimmy Woo” and before purchasing what would become Harpole’s Wissota Inn Shirley and Billy spent time working at Jimmy’s bar and restaurant.

At that time, Billy and Shirley owned and operated the Norge Village laundry and dry cleaners almost next to Woos and lived a block behind the business in Eau Claire.

Fishing was a favorite pastime and summer days you could often find them on the pontoon trying to out fish each other.

With family living on Maple Lake Mn there was a great opportunity to enjoy a neighbors ice shack where Shirley could show them how it’s done.

Billy and Shirley enjoyed many years owning and operating this place.

Customers became lifelong friends.

They sold the building and after a few short attempts at different forms of bar / restaurant by different owners, the building was sold again.

The current owner removed all of the bar and restaurant equipment and will eventually repurpose the building.

With both Billy and Shirley passing, as the son in law that spent many evenings in the kitchen I decided to create this page to encourage former customers and friends to share pictures and memories for all.

Billy and Shirley told many stories over the years and rumors abound that many of them were true.
