I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is I got this yearās gourds worked out and re-fertilized last week. They are growing and looking good. The bad news is that after doing my taxes and realizing what it cost me to grow last yearās crop and recognizing itās going to cost even more this year, I am going to have to go up on my prices. Iām hoping to get by, by just going up on my small gourds from $3.50 each, 10/$30.00 to $4.00 each, 10/$35.00 and the extra small Martin from $2.50 each, 10/$20.00 to $3.00 each, 10/$25.00. All larger sizes and $1.00 gourds will remain the same for now. If inputs continue to rise I may have to do different in the future. The price changes will take effect on May 1st and hopefully, between now and then Iāll get the website updated. The photos are of this yearās crop. I ended up having to plant the same spot where they were last year because I couldnāt burn off a new spot due to a burn ban. The first photo shows all the volunteers in the middles and the second photo is after I disked the middles.
