a salted fig and guava rum cocktail đŸč

it was so insanely easy to make and one of the best drinks I accidentally created this year. It’s giving the perfect summer into fall drink with a homemade fig syrup since technically still fig season, and a touch of guava liqueur (which some types also happen to be in season right now too!)

RECIPE (1 serving)
1 3/4 oz Diplomatico Rum
3/4 oz Chinola Guava
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz Lofi Gentian Amaro
1/2 oz fig syrup
Pinch of salt

Fig syrup
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 cup of chopped dried figs
Pinch of salt

To a saucepan add all ingredients and bring to a gentle simmer for ~15 mins. Remove from the heat and let fig syrup steep for another 25 mins. Strain figs out and keep for up 2 weeks.
