Whirled News Tonight stands with Black Lives Matter. We fully support those protesting for justice for the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade and too many more.

As one of Chicago's oldest running improv shows at nearly 17 years, we have long been part of a comedy community that has consistently failed Black performers, and still has a long way to go. As such, we recognize that we are a part of the problem and we commit to being part of the solution. We'd like to thank The Arts & Culture Club for challenging Chicago comedy institutions to put our money where our mouths are, and we have donated $500 to The Chicago Community Bond Fund. We hope our followers will join us in supporting them and/or any of the organizations listed below that are working to protect and uplift Black people. In fact, for the first ten people to donate $20 or more (post a screenshot of the receipt and tag us), we will buy your ticket to the next Arts & Culture Club show of your choice. We could easily get you a ticket to WNT, but, for a current events show, we still have a lot of work to do to get our stage to reflect the world we want to live in and ACC is already there. We don't want easy anymore, we want better.
