🚴‍♂️ The road starts here!

We had the pleasure of meeting Rory Perlow (.justrory) at Navy Pier this morning as he begins an incredible journey. Over the next 45 days, the Highland Park native will bike solo from Pier to Pier along Historic Route 66 — 2,200 miles from Chicago's Navy Pier all the way to Santa Monica.

Before setting off, Rory was joined by friends and former Deerfield High School classmates who came out to send him off in style. The group commemorated the occasion with a photo at Navy Pier's Route 66 Starting Point sign. He also posed for a photo with Harry Caray's CEO, Grant DePorter, and stopped inside for a photo in front of the Route 66 mural at Harry Caray's Navy Pier — the First Stop on Route 66.

Rory will be livestreaming his journey on Kick and documenting daily on Instagram and TikTok at .justrory — head there to find the link to his livestream and follow every mile of the ride.

We're proud to be part of the first chapter of his epic solo adventure and wish him safe travels, smooth riding, and unforgettable experiences along the Mother Road. Good luck, Rory — we'll be following along! 🚲✨

Holy Cow! Today marks the national kickoff of the Route 66 Centennial.

We kicked off our celebration back in March at the 28th Annual Toast to Harry Caray with the unveiling of Navy Pier’s Route 66 Starting Point sign and our new Route 66 mural. Whether you’re celebrating the Mother Road today, throughout this centennial year, or planning a future road trip, make sure to kick off your journey with a photo by the sign and a visit to Harry Caray’s Navy Pier—the first stop on Route 66.

This Arbor Day, we’re proud to celebrate a mission that has taken root far beyond our restaurants. 🌳

Through our long-standing partnership with Chicago Gateway Green —founded by Donald J. DePorter, father of our CEO Grant DePorter—Harry Caray’s has helped plant thousands of trees, shrubs, and bushes, creating an impact that’s grown—quite literally—over many years.

While we don’t often stop to count, we’re honored to have played a leading role in supporting one of Chicago’s most impactful urban greening efforts. It’s a commitment rooted in community, sustainability, and doing our part to help the city we love continue to grow.

German Consuls General from Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles stopped by today to snap a photo at the new starting point of Route 66!

They’re setting off to drive the full length of the Mother Road from Navy Pier to Santa Monica Pier. As the official first stop on Route 66, Harry Caray’s Navy Pier was a must—so they headed inside for a photo with our Route 66 mural, too.

Wishing them safe travels on the road ahead!

We had a couple familiar faces stop by Harry Caray’s this weekend—actor and director Jason Alexander and Cubs standout Moisés Ballesteros.

🎭 Jason Alexander returned to Harry Caray’s at Navy Pier, where he previously served as Toastmaster for the 26th Annual Worldwide Toast to Harry Caray. He’s back in town for the premiere of Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s newest production, Fault, which he directed.

⚾ Meanwhile, Ballesteros stopped into Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse amid the Cubs’ series sweep over the Mets—highlighted by a 12–4 win where he went 2-for-2 with a three-run homer to kick things off.

Great to see them both again and celebrate a big weekend for each of them!
