Caffé Oliva, named for its location in Olive Park is tucked away on a beautiful part of the Chicago lakefront-allowing guests to take a “vacation” in their own backyard. From the team behind The Dock at Montrose Beach, Caffé Oliva has revamped its menu and now offers Mediterranean inspired fare and playful cocktails. Menu items include starters like lollipop wings, lamb meatballs and Mediterranean
style grilled calamari. For lighter beach fare, Oliva offers salads including the Chop, Chop, Chop Med Salad (Finely chopped lettuce, tomato, red onion, chickpeas, pepperocini, kalamata olives, celery, feta, tzatziki dressing, EVOO, pita crumbles) and Lebanese Tabbouleh Chopped Salad (tomato, parsley, cucumber, green onions, mint, salt, EVOO, served with hummus and pita) as well as an array of flatbreads. For the bigger appetite, Oliva offers burgers named after local streets from the Ohio Street Lamb Burger-(100% grass fed ground lamb, spinach and red onion salad, tzatziki) to the Ontario Street Burger-(100% grass-fed ground beef, roasted green chilis, tomato, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo) and the house specialty-Souvlaki (skewers of grass-fed lamb or Amish Pasture Raised chicken, basted with EVOO, lemon and grilled to perfection. Complement your meal with one of the four specialty cocktails including the Knockout Lemonade (Ketel Oranje and all-natural lemonade) and Myer’s Mojito-Caffé Oliva is the only bar on the beach with cocktails on tap. Caffé Oliva is located across from Lake Shore Drive (near the W Hotel) on Ohio. The restaurant plans to open in May, weather permitting and will be open 7 days a week. Monday-Friday 11 am to 10 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 10 pm-a weekend brunch is planned for later in May. Private parties are available for up to 500 guests.
