A sure sign of Spring - Green Almonds! This hyper-seasonal treat has a short window of availability to indulge in their delicate deliciousness. (Unless you decide to pickle them!)

Random Fact - Did you know that Peaches & Green Almonds are related? Both have that fuzzy like exterior that is edible (though the shell can become more bitter the longer it has been since they were harvested). But the real treasure of the Almond Verts is the liquid like interior. Snap ‘em up & eat ‘em quick!

Chefs worth their salt know that it’s worth it to hold on & wait just a little bit longer for the Eastern Fiddleheads (from the Ostrich Fern) to make their debut. They are less bitter and more tender. But there’s only a short window for these unique treasures. Summer will be here before we know it!
