This Märzen-style Lager is one of our longest running recipes, and though we’ve tweaked it over the years, the core idea has stayed the same: make a rich, malty beer that’s just as easy to drink as any of our paler offerings. We think you’ll agree. 🍻

The 3rd annual Labor Day Weekend art show fundraiser for Art Inst Chgo Workers United is this Sunday.

Support artists from unionized staff of The Art Institute of Chicago + School of the Art Institute of Chicago. All sales will be split 50/50 between the artist and AICWU’s Strike & Hardship Fund.

Plus, our friends from POLOMBIA not Polumbia are piping up, and Hopewell will be donating $2 from each Ride or Die sold to the fund.

Spend the holiday supporting workers. 💪

New exhibition opens this week at the Hopewell taproom.

Loose Weave is a collection of works from neighborhood artist Paul Cade, all focused around fabrics, each with their own story.

We ain’t ones to present our beers based on how much of a particular ingredient we put in. But sometimes we brew something so out of the ordinary for Hopewell that we’ve gotta share it with you.

Here we have a to-scale representation of how much hops go into some of our beers. You know us: we like to keep it restrained and an easy decision to have another. But Soaked? Damn. Just north of 5lbs per barrel, it’s just about the most hops we’ve ever put in a beer in 10+ years of brewing.

BUT, rest assured, Soaked is as quaffable as it is maximalist. A cooler whirlpool than normal allowed us to give you a ton of hop flavor and aroma without all the bitterness that would have otherwise thrown off its balance. And a dialed-back stature of 6.5% abv keeps it well out of “sticky sweet” range. In other words: it’s still a Hopewell beer.

Soaked Saturated IPA is available on draft and to-go at the taproom, with limited distribution across Chicagoland and beyond.

Brand new IPA using ultra-modern techniques that pushed our capabilities to the max. We call it Soaked because it’s absolutely saturated with hop character. It’s a feat.

Chicago Secret Burger will be on the sidewalk patio from 12-3 slinging—you guessed it—primo burgers.
