Burger: Pennsylvania Fluff Screamer

Story: Tony Fulginiti opened Tony’s as a lunch counter in the 1940s after WWII. It was bought in 1975 and expanded to a full-sized restaurant. Ironically, Tony’s is no longer open for lunch, but it does open at night and operates until after midnight, with peak hours sometimes not hitting until after midnight.
Tony’s Lunch had a popular burger, The Screamer, that was a simple burger slathered with their house-made spicy chili sauce. There was a frequent patron who was a teenager that came in day after day ordering the Screamer with a twist. She would always ask that they use the marshmallow fluff used in their hot chocolate on the Screamer. She would ask every day, and every day she was denied. That is until Tony’s Niece took her order and finally gave in. Once the persistent teen bit into the burger, the rest of the guests had to try what she had concocted. The rest is history, and now The Fluff Screamer is a top-selling burger at Tony’s Lunch!
The Build: The classic build of the Fluff Screamer contains a hamburger patty, raw onions, spicy chili “screamer sauce”, marshmallow fluff, optional cheese, and a pat of butter.
BP Spin: We smash our two fresh all beef patties on the flat top, those will be piled onto our toasted potato bun, layered with melty American cheese, we then pile a healthy helping of our house-made spicy “screamer sauce” sauce on top of the patties. Finally, we add a healthy dollop of marshmallow fluff, followed by a spread of cool butter on our top bun! This is Halloween burger form!
