The Arie Crown Theater is located in Lakeside Center at McCormick Place, just 2.5 miles south of downtown Chicago. It is accessible via a wide variety of public transportation methods and ample parking is available.

FUN FACT: Chicago's Arie Crown Theater opened in 1961, and World Theatre Day was first celebrated the very next year. Coincidence? We think NOT!

We're throwing it back to 2021 when living legend Rubén Blades came to Chicago in December to bring the final night of his Salswing! tour to Arie Crown Theater. 🎶

About the show: Hot on the heels of winning the 2021 Latin Grammys Person Of the Year, Album Of The Year, AND Best Salsa Album, Blades was backed by the incredible 19-piece Roberto Delgado Big Band for a nearly 3-hour concert of dancing and stories. What a night! 💖

It's our birthday! 🎂

Chicago's Arie Crown Theater (originally billed as the "Big Theater") hosted its first event on February 18th, 1961, as part of the 53rd Chicago Auto Show's Motoreview, a twice-daily stage presentation. 🚗

Since then our theater has been a home for everything from operas and ballets to concerts and comedy events, along with amazing corporate symposiums and galas, all hosted here in the Lakeside Center building at McCormick Place.

Thanks for helping us celebrate 65 years! 🥳
